We had a blast at the Portland Bridal Show last weekend! It was great seeing everyone out in full force, trying to find just the right inspiration for their upcoming day. I came home with so much information, and I’m not even getting married!
If you didn’t make it out, here’s what you missed:
Luxury Porta-Potty
I’ve been to many weddings at farms, in fields and in mom and pop’s backyard, and the unfortunate matter of business is, well, just that. You have to rent the unthinkable, the unwantable – a porta-potty. Well, forget the honeybucket, people. Several businesses are now offering luxury restroom trailers that come equipped with everything you’d be accustomed to in a brick and mortar restroom. Think running water, heat and air conditioning, surround sound… isn’t it amazing! I wish these were around when I got married!
Fancy Backed Gowns
I don’t know if I was naturally drawn to them, but it felt like everywhere I turned there was a wedding gown with an extraordinary back design. It makes sense, right?! For the first part of your wedding ceremony, everyone is staring at your back, so why not make it beautiful. It sets the stage for what your guests can expect for the rest of the day.
Floral Garland Crowns
Pass up the tiara and instead opt for a fresh floral crown. They’re not just for hippies and flower girls anymore, ladies.
The Dessert Everyone Wants
Cake has been pushed to the back seat for a while now, but there are so many great ideas out on the scene now. Here are some delicious local choices:
Outside the Box Photo Booths
Photo booths have just gone bananas. Besides the old props and the mall-type booth, some companies offer some pretty spectacular options that just might be the highlight for your guests. And, what’s even more awesome is that it doubles as your favor.
Natural Elements
Floral arrangements have been the standby for decades now, but now the focus is on greenery and embracing the great outdoors. Think draping garlands, ferns, twigs, branches, and leaves. Whether real, faux or an illustration, natural elements bring a serene feeling to any scene.
Please share, what was your favorite inspiration from the Portland Bridal Show?

Hi, I think your site might be having browser compatibility issues. When I look at your blog site in Chrome, it looks fine but when opening in Internet Explorer, it has some overlapping. I just wanted to give you a quick heads up! Other then that, excellent blog!

Hey there just wanted to give you a brief heads up and let you know a few of the images aren’t loading correctly. I’m not sure why but I think its a linking issue. I’ve tried it in two different internet browsers and both show the same outcome.
