Western Washington forests usually have dense trees that seem to climb forever, ferns and brush nestled on the pine-needle forest floor, and slivers of sunlight beaming through the branches. It’s peacefulness at its best.
Most of the time it’s just you and the forest, which makes it that much more serene.
We discovered a newly wedded couple who wanted just that. Their elopement to the Olympic National Forest was recently featured on Junebug Weddings.
Anyone who has visited that particular area knows that its terrain is very similar to our neck of the woods here in the Columbia River Gorge.
